Day-1
The highly anticipated Techno and Cultural fest of RAMA University began on 17th April 2019 and will go on till 20th April 2019. The four-day event hosts numerous events dotted throughout the day.
The 4 days long techno-cultural fest of RAMA University started with full zeal and zest on 17th April 2019.
It started with the Inauguration of the Manthan fest in the seminar room on the third floor of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) building. All the distinguished guests including the chief guest Mr. Jinendra Singh were welcomed by students, Arti & Tikka was done and a bouquet of flowers was presented to the guests as a part of our traditional welcome.
The cultural committee comprising of students welcomed the guests by an introductory speech and the sequence of events was informed to the students as well as the guests. This was followed by the Lighting of Lamp ceremony performed by the Chief Guest, Director, Registrar, and various Deans and HOD’s. A soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana was performed to pay our gratitude to the Goddess of Learning Maa Saraswati. A tribute was paid to our visionary founder Dr. B.S.Kushwah, who was an educationist and the guiding force behind the RAMA group. One of the students’ performed a beautiful dance sequence depicting Ganesh Vandana which is considered as an auspicious ritual to start some good work.
Our respected Dean Dr. Hari Om Sharan Sir gave the welcome address, welcoming all the guests, faculty and students to this mega event. He discussed the importance of such events by saying that these events are done at par with other Technical Institutes. He emphasized on the fact that these events give a chance and exposure to all the students to showcase their technical and cultural talents. Sir also informed about the Innovation and Incubation center and about the MANTHAN innovation challenge wherein the students can showcase their inventions, innovations, and startups and win prizes, eventually if selected they would also get seed funding for their project. Apart from this he also emphasized on the importance of how much all the students can learn and achieve by participating in such events.
This was followed by a motivating speech by Mr. Prabhat Ranjan, Registrar, Rama University who introduced the Chief guest Mr. Jinendra Singh who is an alumnus of IIT Mumbai. In his speech, the chief guest spoke about the importance of education and also motivated the students by sharing his experience in the field of technology. A memento was presented to the chief guest as a mark of honor from Rama University.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Samir Mishra sir, Assistant Director (research) and he once again thanked everyone to put up the mega event and invited everyone to participate, view and enjoy the 4 days technical and cultural event.

Day-2
Tech-Manthan-2K19, day 2 starts with a series of events to be held today on 18th April 2019.
The day 2 of the techno cultural fest started with the various workshops lined up for the day:
Department of Computer Sciences and Engineering Total students:62
Work Shop 1: (CS Dept) Workshop Title – “Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence” from 11 AM to 1.30 PM & 2 PM to 4.30 PM.
Machine Learning is a system that can learn from example through self improvement and without being explicitly coded by the programmer. Machine learning is also used for a variety of task like fraud detection, predictive maintenance, portfolio optimization, atomized task and so on.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and reacts like humans. Some of the activities computers with artificial intelligence are designed for include: Speech recognition & Learning.
Major Outcomes:
1. Identify the database and compare the trivial and big data or various applications.
2. Understood machine learning technique and computing environment that are suitable for the application under consideration
3. This course introduces computer programming using python programming language
This was held in computer lab on the ground floor in the FET building , Room No.3026.
Department of Mechanical Engineering Total students:63
Workshop 2 : (ME Dept) Automation in Industrial application via CNC Machine. 10 AM to 1.30 PM & 2 PM to 4.30 PM.
For machine control, the embedded automation system is used to perform a range of tasks within industrial equipment, such as maintaining fluid flow rates in a CNC machine, controlling assembly line speeds, and automatically adjusting gear ratios in motor driven processes
Major-Outcomes:
The current workshop helped the students to understand CNC Programming, Video Demonstration, Application and tools that manufactured in the CNC.
Department of Civil Engineering Total students:43
Workshop Title - “Application of Staad Pro & Ansys software in Civil Engineering” from 10 AM to 1.30 PM & 2 PM to 4.30 PM.
Element Method (FEM) in software products like ANSYS and STAAD. ... STAAD is used by civil engineers to analyze structures like beams and columns while ANSYS is generally used by mechanical engineers for structural analysis of machines, automobile roll cage, etc. STAAD pro is a structural analysis and design software which can be used to design/analyze RCC and steel structures according to the relevant location. STAAD Pro is one of the advanced tools used by the civil engineers for structural analysis of the designs in the construction and building industry.
Major Outcomes:
1. Students will be able to understand bending movement and shear force in beam and column.
2. Deflection of building structure.
3. Effect of different materials on the strength of building.
4. Breaking point of beam section
Department of Biotechnology Total students-54
Workshop Title – “Molecular Techniques in Biotechnology” from 10 AM to 1.30 PM & 2 PM to 4.30 PM.
Molecular biology techniques are common methods used in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and biophysics which generally involve manipulation and analysis of DNA, RNA, protein, and lipid.
In this workshop plant DNA would be isolated following CTAB method. Genomic DNA would be purified by using the DNA purified column (qiagen). Purified DNA would be quantified by Nanodrop . In this workshop students would get hands on training for the molecular biology by using standard protocol.
Major Outcomes:
Workshop conducted in the department of Biotechnology during TECH-MANTHAN-2K19 all the participated students have got the knowledge of isolation of plant genomic DNA by CTAB method. Then after they have estimated the quality and quantity of DNA by using gel electrophoresis and Nanodrop techniques. During workshop students amplified DNA by using PCR, Actin primers and Taq DNA polymerase etc and got the good quality of amplified DNA bands. In this workshop all the students participated actively and interacted professionally for their carrier growth.
We hope all the students will be able to acquire a lot of techniques and will be able to learn a lot from these workshops. As it is said that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, all this knowledge would help each individual in some or the other way in their various walks of life in future.
We look forward for day 3rd of TECH-MANTHAN 2K19 which will witness a lot of events dotted up throughout the day tomorrow on 19th April 2019.
The events lined up for tomorrow include MIC-(MANTHAN Innovation Challenge) wherein the students can showcase their Inventions, Live Projects, Startups and win prizes, eventually if selected they would also get seed funding for their project.
Apart from this we have the Poster Presentation, Treasure Hunt and Multiplayer Game.
We hope for another eventful day. Lets Enjoy TECH MANTHAN 2K19.
