Intellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names and images used in commerce.
The concept of intellectual property covers patents, trademarks, literary and artistic works, designs and models. We need to protect intellectual property because of the following reasons: Promotes respect for individual or inventor or artist, and enable them to earn livelihood; helps in creating sustainable and competitive business locally and internationally; attract investment and create new job opportunities; Foster economic growth. The power to evolve innovations and think in an innovative manner in any organization can be increased by means of creating Intellectual Property (IP) awareness amongst the stake holder who are directly or indirectly involved in the process of innovation.
Thus, This conference will provide an excellent opportunity for researchers, scientists, farmers, business planners, lawyers, teachers, academicians and other stakeholders alike to keep abreast of recent developments, share ideas, raise awareness of practices that ameliorates the working of existing policies and legal frameworks and help in tracking the infringement of IPR’s by recourse to legal provisions and remedy.
