On 13 February 2019, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Professional Studies, Rama Univeristy, Kanpur celebrated world Radio Day. The theme of the World Radio Day was "Dialogue, Community, and Development". On this occasion, the department organized a story narration competition in which all students of BJMC, MJMC and PGDJMC participated. All students narrated their stories in the radio format. Their live performances were recorded by Mr. Deepak Kumar. The objectives of this program were to develop program producing skills and provide experience being a radio jockey to the students. Three members jury evaluated their stories on the basis of different variables, although, they showed a very tough competition with each other. After long discussion, jury decided the winner of story narration competition. Shubhangi Mishra, student of BJMC 1st year won first prize, Kevin Allen James student of BJMC, 1st won second prize whereas third prize was won by Abhay Singh, student of MJMC, 1st year. The awards were distributed by Dr. Subhash Chandra Dinda, the dean of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He was chief guest of prize distribution ceremony. The program was anchored or carried out by MJMC students, i.e., Abhay Singh and Nishant Pal while event was conducted by Dr. Santosh Kumar Gautam, Ms. Nitika Ambastha and Ms. Pragya Tiwari.
