The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology celebrated "The International World Radiology Day" on November 8, 2021, at Rama Dental College, Kanpur. The day marks the anniversary of discovering one of the vital inventions, x-radiation by Sir Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, in 1895, effectively laying the foundation for the discipline of Radiology on this day 126 years ago. About the Event:
Like every year, this day was again celebrated by the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, RDC, to build greater awareness of the value that radiology contributes to safe patient care and improve public understanding of the vital role of radiologists and radiographers play in the healthcare sector.
A presentation on the domain pioneers of Radiology was presented to enlighten the audience, which comprised of patients, students, and staff, with free pamphlets elucidating the facts and myths associated with radiation was distributed to all the patients visiting the dental OPD on Sir Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen's day.
An additional 20% discount was given on all Intra-oral and Extra-oral Radiographs taken to commemorate 126 years of this great discovery.
