RMCHRC Kanpur Conducts Successful Round of "Poshak Aahar Vitran" for TB Patients

On April 19, 2023, the Department of Community Medicine at RMCHRC Kanpur successfully conducted the sixth round of "Poshak Aahar Vitran" under the National Tuberculosis elimination program. The event was held at the Urban Health Training Center in Navsheeldhaam, Kanpur, where 9 TB patients adopted by RMCHRC Kanpur were the recipients of the "Poshak Aahar."
The programme was directed by Dr. Poonam Kushwaha, Assistant Professor, and Dr. R.P. Gupta, M.O. UHTC, Department of Community Medicine, RMCHRC Kanpur. They informed the patients about their health conditions, the value of eating right, and the necessity of completion of their treatment.
The program showcased the Department of Community Medicine's dedication to community health initiatives and highlights the importance of involvement in programs such as the National Tuberculosis elimination program. The Department of Community Medicine plans to continue providing "Poshak Aahar" to the Extra Pulmonary (EP) patients until their treatment is complete.
The programme was a huge success thanks to the support of the UHTC staff members, and the Department of Community Medicine intends to keep giving "Poshak Aahar" to Extra Pulmonary (EP) patients until their treatment is finished.
