Revised Basic Courses Workshop of (NMC) Conducted in Rama Medical College

Under the National Medical Faculty Development Program of National Medical Commission (NMC), a three day "Revised basic course workshop" (RBCW) was organized at Rama Medical college hospital and research center, Kanpur, Under the aegis of NMC's regional center KGMU, Lucknow, between November 10 to 12 November 2021. About the Event:
The Program started with a welcome address by the moderator Prof.Sujatha Arunagiri, sessions started with formal inaugural and lamp lighting by Principal Prof.PK Singh, Dean(SW) Prof.Brijendra Nigam, Prof. VN Tripathi, and Observer Prof. RK Dixit. and other dignitaries. In the whole three days workshop, teachers of RMC were sensitized about new concepts in teaching and assessment methods.
Teachers were appraised with newer concepts of clinical skills required for performing the role of a competent and effective teacher, administrator, researcher, and mentor. These workshops are part of training programs of NMC all over India, and the basic aim is to train the teachers, such that they can mentor the new doctors, who can provide basic medical services to the public at large, have professional communication and professional skills with optimal medical knowledge, a concept which is visualized as "Indian Medical Graduate". In three days Worksop 8 facilitators worked as Resource Persons.
Total 30 faculties of Rama Medical college participated in the workshop. After completing the workshop certificates were given to participants. NMC has made it mandatory to get this certification, for future promotions in medical colleges.
