Rama University's "Bhavya Bhagirathi" Clean Ganga Campaign Makes Waves in Kanpur

A wonderful programme called "Bhavya Bhagirathi" was initiated by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries at Rama University to prevent pollution, preserve biodiversity, and revive the divine “Ganga River”. This effective Extension Outreach Programme focused on the theme of "Waste to Wealth" and was held on June 5 at the stunning Bithoor Ghat in Kanpur. It aimed to promote the value of a clean Ganga while promoting sustainable agricultural development.
Renowned dignitaries, faculty members, and enthusiastic students were present when the event started, and they were all there to support and encourage the organisers of the event. The B.Sc. (Ag.) Final Year students volunteered on the responsibility of coordinating the event, presenting their innovative minds through presented impressive posters and slogans that highlighted the various difficulties society and the agricultural sector are currently facing as a result of the Ganga's polluted waters.
Both students and faculty members passionately worked to clean the Ganga River’s historic banks because they were motivated to protect this priceless natural resource. They showed their dedication to maintaining the biodiversity of the river by carefully collecting many pollutants that contribute to Ganga's pollution and constitute a threat to its complicated environment. At the same time, representatives from Rama University had in-depth discussions with locals, stressing how important it is to keep the Ganga clean.
This cleanup effort's main goal was to educate the local population about the value of protecting natural resources in order to secure a sustainable future for agriculture and future generations.
