Rama University Hosts Five-Day Hybrid Event Featuring Leading Experts

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Rama University, Kanpur, organized a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Cutting Edge Research in Pharmaceutical Statistics” from July 23rd to 27th, 2024. Conducted in a hybrid mode, the event was held at the Seminar Hall, FET, Rama University, and online via the Zoom platform. The program aimed to bring together academicians and researchers to explore and discuss the latest advancements in pharmaceutical statistics and their applications in healthcare.
Organizers and Participants
The FDP was convened by Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Jain, with Mr. Neeraj Jain and Mr. Sayantan Dutta serving as coordinators. The event received over 50 registrations from across India, attracting participants from various universities and institutions. The program served as a platform for sharing research contributions and exploring the practical implications of advanced technologies in the pharmaceutical field through discussions and innovative deliberations.

The inaugural session was chaired by Mr. Prabhat Ranjan, Registrar of Rama University, who spoke about recent developments in pharmaceutical research and statistics. Prof. (Dr.) Hari Om Sharan emphasized the crucial role of statistics in validating research for professional growth, while Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Jain delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the FDP's potential to enhance the skills of participants.
Highlights of the Program
On Day 1, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma addressed the session on "Recent Trends and Development Strategies from Pharmaceuticals to Phytopharmaceuticals," discussing the protection of Indian medicines and the integration of synthetic and herbal approaches. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Neeraj Jain.
Day 2 featured Prof. (Dr.) Swatantra Kushwaha, who presented on "The Innovation Outlook on Pharmaceuticals with 3D Printed Drug Formulations." He explained the evolution of 3D printed drugs from engineering to medicine and their potential for personalized dosing.
Conclusion and Impact
The FDP was conducted under the guidance of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Suraj B.S. Kushwah, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Janardhana Amarnath B.J., and other esteemed leaders of Rama University. The program provided valuable insights into the latest trends and research strategies in pharmaceutical statistics, fostering collaboration and innovation among participants. Through the expert guidance of leading professionals, the FDP significantly contributed to the academic and professional development of faculty and research scholars in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.
