Principles of Adult Learning and Integration in Medical Colleges

The department of community medicines organised a guest lecture on 30th December 2022 conducted by Dr. Bhola Nath (Prof. and Head) AIIMS, Raibareli. He enlightened all the students and fellow faculties on the topic “principles of adult learning and integration in medical college” under the guidance of Dr. Anju Gahlot (Prof. and HOD) to highlight the necessary changes in approaches to improve the education procedures.
Dr. Anju Gahlot and Dr. Lakshmi Singh welcomed the guest speaker and introduced him to all the students and fellow faculties. The guest speaker managed to impart key insight into the topic based on his knowledge and experience which helped in creating a better understanding of the discussion. The participants were highly obliged by the presence of Dr. Bhola Nath which created a significant impact on the views and opinions of students attending the lecture. Dr. Madhukar Katiyar (Prof. Dept. of Psychiatry), Dr. Neeraj Katiyar, Dr Preet, Nursing faculty and nursing students managed to add some extra glitter and glow to the event by sharing their views and opinions about the same. Later, the event was concluded by Dr. Anubhiti Sharma by giving a vote of thanks to all the respected guests and people attending the event.
The event was a great success due to the valuable guidance and knowledge shared by Dr. Anju Gahlot (Prof. & HOD) community medicine, and all the faculty members including Dr. Chitra Chauhan (Assoc. Prof.), Dr. Poonam Kushwaha (Assist. Prof), Dr. Saket Shekhar (Assist. Prof.), Dr. Abid Ali Ansari (Assist. Prof.), Dr. Lakshmi Singh (PG 3rd year), Dr. Anubhuti Sharma (PG 3rd year), Dr.Nilanjan Dam (PG 1st year), Dr Saurabh Singh (Non-PG JR), Dr. Shreyansh Singh (Non-PG JR).
It was an overwhelming experience at the event with a great take-home message of how we can integrate teaching and learning in different specialities to make future doctors more skilful to save lives and create a better India.
