Oral hygiene day was introduced to commemorate the birth anniversary of the doyen of Indian Periodontics & founder of the Indian society of Periodontology (ISP), Dr. G B Shankwalkar, who was born on 1st August. Department of Periodontics of Rama Dental College Hospital & Research Centre celebrated the day by arranging a free dental check up camp for all the patients. Also, an oral health awareness rally was taken out by faculty & students. Distribution of educating & motivating pamphlets along with tooth paste & tooth brush was also done. Program was conducted under able guidance of Professor Dr. Janardhan Amarnath B.J. & Dr. Ira Gupta. Dr. Saurabh & Dr. Varun helped in arranging the program. P.G. Students Dr. Deepshikha, Dr. Aastha, Dr. Pihoo, Dr. Neelam, Dr. Nidhi, Dr. Swati & Dr. Saswati enthusiastically participated in the program, contributing to its success
