Online Expert Lecture On United For Dignity: Towards Zero Leprosy Called Out For An End Of Stigma And Discrimination About Leprosy

To mark the importance of world leprosy day, Rama University’s Faculty of Nursing, Kanpur, organized an online expert lecture on United for dignity: towards zero on February 05, 2022. The expert lecture was started with the welcome address and unfolding the theme by Mrs. Jasmi Manu, Principal Faculty of Nursing. The expert lecture was delivered by Dr. Rahul B. Pandit (M.Sc. Nursing, Ph.D. in Nursing,) the event's guest speaker from B. J. Govt. Medical College & Sassoon General Hospital, Pune, Maharashtra. About the Event:
Dr. Rahul B. Pandit emphasized the crucial role of nurses' concern towards the social responsibilities to leprosy victims and their family members. He quoted that a responsible health worker always works hard to raise awareness about Leprosy Disease and call for an end to the Stigma and Discrimination that people living with leprosy suffer.
Nearly 454delegates participated from various colleges and Hospitals. The session was moderated by Mrs.Minu S.R H.O.D child health nursing. The events were wrapped up by gentle gratitude by a formal vote of thanks. Delegates filled the feedback for the e- certificates. It was a successful session.
