The Fresher’s Programme at FASAI's OJAS-2K23 was a dazzling event that illuminated the path for the new batch of B.Sc. Agriculture students. The Auditorium of Rama University, Mandhana, Kanpur, was adorned with sparkling lamps that symbolized the bright future of the students.
The event commenced with the melodious hymns of Saraswati Vandana by a first-year B.Sc. Agriculture student, which echoed throughout the hall like the gentle flow of a serene river. Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean of FASAI, opened her arms to welcome the new students with warmth, like a mother embraces her child. The Director of Marketing, Mr. Sanjay Singh, and the Chief Proctor of Rama University, Dr. C. S. Raghuvanshi, graced the occasion and encouraged the students to chase their dreams.
The event was attended by the Deans from different faculties, who blessed the new students like the gentle rain that nourishes the soil. It was an opportunity for the students to interact with their seniors and faculty members, like a sapling gaining strength from its roots. The students performed various cultural activities that showcased the diverse cultural aspects of different states of India. These cultural events were like a vibrant rainbow, spreading its colors of joy and diversity, and prizes were distributed to encourage the students, like a pat on the back for their efforts.
The program itinerary was a bouquet of dance, music, skits, poetry, ramp shows, and more, like a garden of different flowers blooming in unison. The fresher students were awarded different titles based on their performances, and Mr. Ashish Kumar was crowned as Mr. Fresher, while Ms. Gyanvi Singh was titled as Ms. Fresher for OJAS 2'K23, like two shining stars in the sky.
Dr. Kartikey Bisen, HoD, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries, delivered a vote of thanks to all the guests, students who organized the event, and the technical team who supported throughout the event, like the setting sun that gives gratitude for the day. All the faculty members and the students of B.Sc. (Agriculture) were present, like a garden full of diverse plants.
