Rama University's Dep. of Dental Sciences Participates in Community Outreach to Celebrate World Health Day

World Health Day was witnessed by the Faculty of Dental Sciences at Rama University in Kanpur with a number of activities designed to encourage everyone to live in good health. Several events were planned by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, including a street play, free oral health screening events, and a slogan contest with the tagline "Health for Everyone."
The street play was conducted by dental hygienist students at Rama Public School in Shivrajpur. The play focused on the significance of maintaining good oral and general hygiene, and it was well-received by the school students. Certificates were presented to the participants. The slogan competition was open to interns and undergraduate students. The winning slogan, "Health facilities should be accessible to every section of society, and everyone should use them to make the society healthy," was created by Arpita Tiwari.
Moreover, oral health outreach activities were developed by the Department of Public Health Dentistry. Patients at Shramik Bharti in Vijaynagar and Rama Public School in Shivrajpur received free dental examinations. The examinations found a number of typical dental issues, including cavities, bleeding gums, and misaligned teeth. Referrals for patients in need of care were made to the Rama Dental College, Hospital & Research Center in Kanpur.
The camps were organized under the guidance of Professor and Head, Dr. Nidhi Shukla, and Liaison Officer Mr. Subramanyam. Approximately 35 patients were examined at Shramik Bharti, while 100 patients were examined at Rama Public School during these camps.
The World Health Day celebrations at Rama University's Faculty of Dental Sciences emphasized the importance of good oral and general health and encouraged access to health facilities for all members of society. The programs conducted were aligned with the theme of "Health for All," which was aimed at raising awareness of the importance of providing equitable access to healthcare services for everyone.
