Rama University Celebrates National Science Day with Expert Lecture & Innovative Project Presentation
06 Mar 2023
Rama University's Faculty of Engineering & Technology celebrated National Science Day 2023 by organizing an Expert Lecture & Intra-Institutional Innovative Project presentation. The event was a grand success, with renowned keynote speaker, Dr. Shantanu Bhattacharya, a professor from IIT Kanpur, enlightening the audience with his valuable insights into micro electromechanical systems (MEMS) and nanotechnology in real-life applications.
The event kick-started with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by an address by the Dean of Academic Affairs & FET, Prof. (Dr.) Hari Om Sharan. The students then presented their innovative projects, focusing on the application of nanotechnology in biotechnology, biosensors based on MEMS and nanotechnology, and the basics of MEMS in real-life applications.
The event was organized offline, and the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) played a key role in its success. Dr. C.S. Raghuvanshi, IIC-Convener, and HOD of Computer Science & Engineering moderated the event, while Dr. Rati Bajpai, an IIC-Member, and HOD of the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, coordinated it.
The objectives of the event were to provide students and faculty members with a comprehensive understanding of the basics of nanotechnology in biosensors. In addition, the event emphasized the synthesis process required for fabrication, and the four fundamental requirements for developing an innovative biosensor.
Overall, the Expert Lecture & Intra-Institutional Innovative Project presentation was an exceptional learning experience for all the attendees, as they gained valuable insights into the latest developments in the field of MEMS and nanotechnology.
