Mentoring and Counseling Cell, RAMA University, Kanpur organized the event on the teacher’s Day named as:
"CHETNA"
On the birth anniversary of S. Radhakrishnan on September 5 to honour educators and recognise the effort that they put into shaping young individuals. Teacher’s Day marks the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President of India and the second President of India. This year, the teacher’s day was celebrated by Mentoring and Counseling Cell, RAMA University, with the expert session of Art of Living, Yoga by the Meditation Teacher, Mr. Amit Srivastava, Allumni of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur.
The event was started with the lamp lightening followed by Saraswati Vandana. The dignitaries welcomed the guest with the welcome note and felicitated with the plants as a token of respect.
The expert in his session explained the role of self-realization, Yoga and meditation can help improve a person's mental well-being. “Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration.”
More than thousand students participated in the event and found it healing from mental stresses and pear pressures.
The programmed was ended with the poetry by the student of Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries devoted to Teachers.
Overall it was a successful event.
