National Tuberculosis elimination program

Under the National Tuberculosis elimination programme distribution of "Poshak Ahar Vitran" Round- 3 was done to 9 TB patients adopted by RMCH RC Kanpur on 16/01/2023. Nikshay Diwas
Celebration of the "Nikshay Diwas" was also conducted by educating people about the "Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan" at RHTC, Shivrajpur which helped in creating awareness about TB and how people can prevent from getting infected by TB.

The dignitaries present at the event Dr. Proff. Anju Gahlot (Prof & HOD) department of community medicine, Dr. Atul Kumar Singh (Prof department of community medicine), Dr. Poonam Kushwaha (Asst. Prof. department of community medicine, Dr. R.P. Gupta (M.O UHTC) RMCHRC Kanpur. Other members who marked his key presence included Dr. Nilanjan Dam (PG 1st year), along with UHTC staff members.
Key motive of the program
Dr. Prof. Anju Gahlot welcomed and explained to the TB patients about the disease and the importance of its complete treatment, intake of nutritious diet and exercises (Pranayam). She also instructed the patients to avoid transmission of Tuberculosis. Dr. Prof. Atul Kumar Singh communicated and spoke to the patients about their health problems, diet and treatment. Dr. Poonam Kushwaha communicated and spoke to the patients about their health problems, diet and treatment. Dr. R.P. Gupta also interacted with TB patients and encouraged them to the TB treatment.
Sign of health improvement
Clinical examination of the patients was carried out, which helped us to track the health status of the patients. Clinical chest examination of the pulmonary T.B. patients revealed better lung status and also their symptoms subsided by a great margin. Weight gain was also a positive symptom of clinical procedures taking place in the right direction.
The event was successfully concluded with a thank you note and acknowledgement of the hard work of the team of doctors and staff members who spread awareness and provided valuable knowledge about TB and how it can be prevented.
