National Tuberculosis elimination program

Under the National Tuberculosis elimination program distribution of "Poshak Ahar" 2nd round was done to 10 TB patients adopted by Rama Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Mandhana, Kanpur on 19/12/2022. The event was organized at UHTC department of community medicine Navsheel Dham RMCH & RC Kanpur under the guidance of DR. Proff. Anju Gahlot (HOD) Department of Community Medicine, along with Dr. Poonam Kushwaha (Asst. Proff. Department of Community Medicine) and Dr. R.P. Gupta (M.O UHTC) RMCHRC Kanpur.
Dr. Prof. Anju Gahlot welcomed and educated the TB patients about prevention and control of Tuberculosis and the importance of its complete treatment, intake of nutritious diet; exercises
(Pranayam).They were instructed to wear mask and maintain proper hygiene to avoid the transmission of infection to others.
A regular check-up of TB patients was done along with BP , Weight, which help us to know there well being and allot them new weight band if indicated. Along with the treatment,monitoring medicines was also done.Regularity of medicine healthy diet and use of proper hygiene was also monitored.
The experience of the day was great with the message Let's all be a part of the change to eliminate Tuberculosis.
The event was concluded by a note of thanks by Dr. Poonam Kushwaha. Other faculty members were Dr. Laxmi Singh(PG 3rd year), Dr. Nilanjan Dam(PG 1st year), along with UHTC staff members.
