National Science Day observed by FET

The National Science Day Celebration-2020 was organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology on Feb 28, 2020, to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by the Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928.
The event started with a welcome address delivered by dignitaries of the program highlighting the significance of celebrating the Science Day in remembrance of Sir Chandrasekhar Venkata Raman for receiving the noble prize for the discovery of Raman Effect.
Dr.Hari Om Sharan - Provost FET Dean threw light on the significance of Science Day and also talked about the theme of this year “women in science” Science for the people and people for the Science. He emphasized the relevance of science and technology in our present generation and motivated our students for better research while applying innovative ideas. And he quoted “May Indian science continues to thrive and may our young minds develop even greater curiosity towards science. progression of research in the field of science and technology to take up challenges at a higher level” He also gave the example of Tara Shinde, Project Director of the ‘Mars Orbiter Mission’ that how being a woman she has made significant contributions to science so it is the message for all the women to show their talents and do some invention in the field of science and technology. He wished all the science enthusiast very best to explore their knowledge in the scientific field.
