Lamp Lighting Ceremony

Rama College of Nursing had planned to conduct Lamp Lighting for the students of 2018 – 19 batch. On the meeting with all faculty members, the committees were decided. Principal Madam as chairperson, Mr. M. Raghavendran Asso. Prof as Convenor

We started the ceremony work from 21/01/2019. All the committees are worked according to their responsibilities given by the Chairperson and Convenor.

The function was started on 15/02/2019 at 11:30am after the arrival of Chief Guest Prof. Sunita Chowdary, Government College of Nursing, Kanpur. The Lamp Lighting march was started and students were coming into hall. The hall was arranged in an order at right side Lamp lighting students of B.Sc (N), GNM and ANM and on other side for Guests and Faculties.

The programme was started at 11:30 am with prayer song by college choir. Mrs. Usharani M.Sc (N) delivered the welcome address. The dignitaries lit the lamp. Dr. Janarthana Amarnath, Vice Chancellor, Rama University, Dr. Sathyanarayana, Dean/ Principal, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Mr. Subash Chandra Dinda, Dean/ Principal, Faculty of Pharmacuetical Sciences, Mrs. Shoba Nair, Finance Controller, Rama University.

Lamp Lighting was started after the presidential address. Significance of Lamp Lighting was given by Mrs. S. Andal M.Sc (N) continued with that the students got the light in the lamp from the Chief Guest, Principal and all the HOD’s.

After getting the lamp students took oath by repeating the pledge which was delivered by principal. Then the lamp lighting students sung the lamp lighting song with college choir.

After completion of oath taking Mrs. A.C. Singh, Principal, RCON and Chief Guest Prof. Sunita Chowdary delivered a speech by highlighting the importance of lamplighting.

Mr. Raghavendran rendered the vote of thanks at the end and the programme came to end by distributing prizes to the students participated in various events and the national anthem.

The programme was ended after taking the group photos and Lunch.
