KANPUR LOGISTICS PARK (PRISTINE LOGISTICS & INFRA PROJECT PVT.)

The Faculty of Commerce & Management, Rama University, organized an industrial visit to India’s leading logistics company, Kanpur logistics Park (Pristine Logistics & Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd) situated at Kanpur highway, Raniganj,Panki, Kanpur on 16th Feb,2019. Pristine offers a wide range of innovative supply chain services including Express Distribution, 3PL and Consulting. The firm provides value-added logistics services for 9 different business verticals ranging from Apparel & Lifestyle, E-commerce, Healthcare, Hi-Tech, Publishing to Automotive, Engineering & Electrical Hardware, FMCG & Consumer Electronics and Institutional.
This visit was specially organized for MBA & BBA Final year students to provide them a practical experience related to the fields of logistics and supply chain.
The visit was coordinated by the faculty in-charge Mr. Mohit Gupta and Ms. Divya Misra. Students received warm welcome by the senior officials of Pristine Mr. Ajay Srivastava (V.P.) and Ms. Archana Pandey (H.R.)
The visit started with brief introduction of company by Mr. Shubham- Manager (Marketing head). He took students around various facility centers and departments and explained each major operation in detail. Students saw the state-of-the art facility where transshipment of consignments were taking place under the guidance of Mr. Keshav Nath Tripathi Manager(Operation) & Mr. Krishna Pandey Manager (Safety) The students observed the actual cross-docking operations and learnt material handling process for consignments being received by the company. The manager explained the hub and spoke system of transportation and distribution and how it facilitates in achieving operational efficiency. The students visited the 3PL (Third Party Logistics) facility at Pristine and learnt its cutting edge technology in providing value added services to customers. They also visited the document and record section and understood actual process of order receiving, order tracking and follow up and order delivery and learnt the modern practices of effective documentation. They gained insight into the role of information technology in enabling faster, effective and efficient logistics operations. In the end Ms. Archana addressed all students in the conference hall and explained career opportunities in logistics and supply chain management area. He handled student’s queries during of question & answer session. The company extended a very hospitality to students during the visit.
The trip was very informative, enriching and provided great learning experience to the students.
