In an attempt to make health services accessible to the rural population, taking Indian medical undergraduate education to villages through this family adoption program and outreach project will bring a huge change in the health care of rural area residents. First-year MBBS students of the Rama Medical College reached the Kukradev village in small groups of 37 guided by the team of mentor faculty, PG, Interns, and medical social workers. Each medical student adopted one family, In the future three to five families will be adopted to monitor their health conditions regularly and advise them accordingly.

For every batch of MBBS, a village will be identified by the Community Medicine Department which is not covered under the Rural health training center. The student will be assessed on the basis of their efforts in improving the health status of their adopted families and will be included in their internal assessment.
