Faculty of Nursing organized Tobacco Control Awareness Program

The faculty of Nursing organized Tobacco Control Awareness Program on December 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The program was organized under the leadership of Mrs.AC Singh and the organizing committee -Dr. M.K. Nigam, Geriatric department, UHM Hospital; Dr. S.K. Nigam, Non-communicable disease control co-coordinator and Mrs. Nidhi, Co-coordinator, CMO office, Rama Devi Trauma centre, Kanpur.
The special invitees in their two-hour lecture on above-mentioned topic created awareness among nursing students on the hazards of tobacco consumptions and its impact on the overall well-being of a person. The students were highly motivated during the session and pledged to avoid the consumption of tobacco. They distributed pamphlets describing the ill-effects of tobacco consumption to the general public to raise awareness for the cause.
The program concluded at 01:00 P.M with vote-of-thanks to all the participants of the program followed by distribution of complimentary snacks packet to the entire participant.
