Awareness drive on adolescent health and menstrual hygiene organized

Faculty of Nursing in collaboration with the Department of Marketing, Rama University, organized an awareness drive for adolescent girls at Florets International School on 14.11.2019 on the occasion of Children’s Day.
The event witnessed participation from 59 girls in the age group of 12-17 years. The topics discussed under the program were adolescent health and menstrual hygiene. An interactive session highlighted adolescent health problems, the application of sanitary pads, and their disposal with the students. The importance of menstrual hygiene and its steps were also discussed in detail. The girls were very enthusiastic and took active part in the discussion.
The response of the event was overwhelming, girls felt empowered with more knowledge. The Principal, Mrs. Shradha Sharma gave her wholehearted support for the event. The team from Rama University involved Mr. Nandan Kumar Singh, Deputy Manager, Marketing, Mrs. Namita Batra Guin, Associate Professor, Ms. Khushboo, Tutor, Ms. Kaveri and Ms. Madhu, M.Sc Nursing students, Ms. Shailja, Ms. Jyoti and Ms. Tripti, P.B.B.Sc Nursing students and Mr. Anil Yadav, Official Photographer, Rama University. The event was well organized under the leadership of Mrs. A.C. Singh, Principal, Faculty of Nursing, Rama University, and Mr. Ravi Singh, Manager Marketing, Rama University.
