For-Students

The University will award University Research Fellowship to 5 bright research scholars pursing Ph.D. These research scholars will be full time research scholars of the University.

Tenure & Entitlements:

A fix stipend of Rs 15,000/- p.m. will be awarded to the Ph.D. research scholar of University. The fellowship starting date will be 1St November'2018. The Ph.D. research scholar shall not take any other paid job during the tenure of fellowship.

• The rules for working hours and leaves for faculty member of the University will be applicable to such Ph.D. research scholars.
• The rules for financial support for presenting research papers, attending workshop, publishing in UGC approved journals for Ph.D. research scholar will be same as that for the faculty members of the University.
• You have to assist in teaching/conducting Laboratory/tutorials for undergraduate students may be assigned to them.
• In consensus with their Ph.D. research supervisor, they may be involved in University examination duties.

Selection Procedure

The selection of the Ph.D. student for the University Research Fellowship will be based on the following points.

• Academic performances at High School, Intermediate, Under Graduate and PG level
• NET/ GATE Score
• Performance in Pre-PhD course work in the University
• Clarity and implications of the proposed research (Synopsis)
• Personal interview by Research Fellowship Committee (RFC)

The process of selection as per the abovementioned points will be accomplished by the Office of the Registrar.
