Faculty of Nursing was established in 2008 as the first private sector
Nursing College in a Campus with an adjoining Medical College at Kanpur.
The faculty is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and U.P. State
Nursing Council to offer degree and diploma courses in nursing to meet
the diverse needs of healthcare sector. The college has been producing
professionals with best skills and deep insight into health care
practices. Students has an added advantage of practical experience owing
to our super specialty hospital extending services in varied disciplines
comprising Medicine, Surgery, obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics,
Orthopedics , Neurology ,cardiology and so on. The campus provides a
perfectly healthy education to the students and the well developed
infrastructure paves way for modern learning in nursing.
The nurses are trained in not just basic medical specialties but also
Intensive and critical super specialties such as Intensive Care Units,
Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Nephrology and Neurology. The
training is imparted through our health centers in Rural and Urban
settings, managed and owned by the group, along with several camps and
community programmes to prepare the professionals who can intently serve
the community in various settings.

Career Prospects
There is still a great deal of demand for skilled nurses in the field of
Medicine. The world is far away from reaching its brink when we talk of
qualified and skilled nurses. The nursing field from medicine has also
made its way to the corporate sector which further increases the need of
skilled people in the stream. Talking only of India, we are far- far
away from reaching the adequate nurse-patient ratio
There is a good career progress in nursing in India as well as in
abroad, candidates can get job opportunities in private and government
organizations and may work as teaching faculties, nursing tutors and
nursing officers in the clinical areas. A person from this profession

Industry Interface Cell
- The Faculty of Nursing helps students in enhancing their practical
knowledge and make them ready for placement in the main stream of
nursing profession. The selection of the students is based on
her/his academic performance and skill in clinical areas. After
successful completion of the training, students will be inducted in
RAMA Hospitals and its branches on regular employment.
Capstone Projects
- Internship Program Final year
students of B.Sc Nursing program and GNM program have to undertake
internship for a period of six months for their course completion in
parent hospital. Internship provides a platform to students to
enhance and practice their theoretical knowledge as well as
practical skills and experience gained during their course duration.
- Dissertation PG Students are
encouraged to undertake clinical oriented research projects. This
helps students in understanding and developing the conceptual
framework for data analysis and concludes the innovative findings.
- Group Projects- B.Sc nursing, P.P.B.Sc
Nursing students are assigned with research projects during their
course. The students conduct these studies as a group project to
explore the research methodology concepts in detail.

Students are allotted individual assignments in each subject area
according to curriculum requirements and clinical presentations are
mandatory for them. Few are;

Clinical case studies make the theoretical learning into a
completion mode. All the students are undertaking individual case

- On 10 th October 2018 celebrated World mental health day along with
a guest lecture from Dr. Nassir Mohammed (HOD of Psychiatry
department Rama Medical College Hospital and Research Centre)
- Faculty of Nursing, Rama University organized a guest lecture on
World Cancer Day 2019 on the theme- “I am and I will”-
for the students of B.Sc 3 rd and 4 th Year and P.B.Sc 2 nd Year
students. The speakers invited for the day were Dr. Mumukshu Dixit,
Retired CMS, GSVM, Kanpur, Dr. M.P. Mishra, Director, J.K. Cancer
Hospital, Kanpur and Dr.Nirupama Dixit, CMS J.K. Cancer Hospital,
Kanpur. All the guest speakers invited had wide experience in the
field of cancer prevention and treatment.
- On 13th October 2022 celebrated World mental health day
along with a Guest Lecture from Pro. Smitha .P.M, Narayana College
of Nursing, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
- On 20th October 2022 Faculty of Nursing Organized an
Expert Lecture on “The Future/Global Demand of Nursing in
2030” by Prof. Aparna Shukla, Midife Nurse Advisor at
Collinson in Ireland.
- On 6th February 2023 On the Occasion of World Cancer Day
organized an Online Expert Lecture on “Close the Care
Gap” by Dr. Sasi Kumar. S., Professor & HOD, Medical
