Industrial visit to Namaste India Foods Pvt. Ltd, Kanpur
An Industrial visit was carried out by the Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rama University, Kanpur at Namaste India Foods Pvt. Ltd, Kanpur on 25th March , 2017 for B. Tech. Biotechnology (IV Sem.), B. Tech. Biotechnology (VI Sem.), B.Sc. Biotechnology (IV Sem.) and M.Sc. Biotechnology (II Sem.). The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about how various activities related to Milk Procurement, Cold Chain Process, Quality Check, Pasteurization and Home Delivery and they learned many principles and techniques related to pasteurization, processing and packaging of milk and milk related products like Butter, Ghee and Paneer etc. They interacted with Mr. Chandresh Pathak (HR) and Mr. Saurabh, and asked about processing, manufacturing, packaging and marketing of milk and milk products in respective divisions.
Mr. Chandresh Pathak (HR) and his team mates guided students throughout the visit and answered all the queries of the students. He and his team motivated students to create awareness among common people about scope and application of biotechnology in dairy industries.
All the arrangements for the visit were managed by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Head, Department of Biotechnology, FET, Rama University, Kanpur. The students were accompanied by five faculties from the department Dr. Vivek Srivastava, Mr. Vachaspati Rao, Mr.Anjani Srivastava, Ms. Sapna Jain and Mrs. Ritika kalra. This visit is highly productive for the students because they have learnt industrial application of Food Biotechnology. This visit was our creative steps towards the sustained development of biotechnology students of Rama University.
