Rama University Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025 with Cultural Fest

Event Overview: On March 8, 2025, as part of the global celebration of International Women’s Day, the Faculty of Nursing at Rama University, Kanpur, organized a grand and impactful event to honour the contributions, achievements, and empowerment of women. The event brought together female faculty members, students, and distinguished guests from various fields, celebrating not only the significance of women but also their roles in shaping society. The theme of the celebration was "Accelerate Action," underscoring the importance of taking proactive steps toward gender equality and women's empowerment.
Inauguration of the Program: The event commenced at 10:00 AM, with a formal inauguration ceremony. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Smt. Neelima Katiyar, Honourable Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Kalyanpur, Kanpur, and the former Minister of Higher Education in Uttar Pradesh. Her esteemed consent added immense value to the celebration and emphasized the importance of women in leadership roles across the country.
Along with the Chief Guest, the program was inaugurated by the Deans of Rama University Dr. Jasmi Johnson, Principal, Faculty of Nursing, Dr.Vaishali Dingre, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management, Dr. Aneeta Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture and Allied Industries, Dr. Poonam. Dean, Faculty of Professional Studies and other prominent faculty members from various departments, who collectively emphasized the role of women in education, health, and community development. The presence of all the female faculty members and students showcased the university's strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that empowers women.
Warm Welcome: The program began with a warm welcome speech, delivered by a prominent faculty member of the Faculty of Nursing. The speech expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Smt. Neelima Katiyar, and the esteemed Deans of the university, as well as all the faculty and students who made the event possible.
