Rama Institute of Paramedical Sciences Hosts Workshop on "Therapeutic Tapping"

The Rama Institute of Paramedical Sciences (RIPS) organized a one-day hands-on workshop on December 19, 2024, focusing on the topic "Therapeutic Tapping." Coordinated by Dr. Nidhi Shukla, the workshop saw the participation of 49 students and was aimed at enhancing their understanding of advanced sports physiotherapy techniques.
The event began with the inauguration and a felicitation ceremony, where the Principal of RIPS, Dr. Brijendra Nigam, honoured the resource person, Dr. Sheikh Shohaim Mohd., Assistant Professor at the Integral Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Integral University, Lucknow. Dr. Sheikh Shohaim Mohd., a well-known expert in sports physiotherapy, specializes in therapeutic tapping techniques.
The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the theoretical advantages and applications of Kinesio tape and rigid tape, followed by practical demonstrations. Students learned the application of these tapes in preventing sports injuries, stabilizing joints under extreme stress, and managing conditions in athletes across various sports.
Spanning six hours, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the interactive session emphasized hands-on training and technique mastery. The feedback from participants highlighted their satisfaction with the workshop, appreciating the practical knowledge gained and its relevance to real-world scenarios.
The event was a step forward in equipping future paramedical professionals with skills to excel in sports injury prevention and management.
