Rama Dental College Hosts “Chrysalis 2024” Fresher’s Day Celebration

Rama Dental College, Mandhana, Kanpur, organized its annual Fresher’s Day program, Chrysalis 2024, on November 16, 2024, at the University Auditorium. The event welcomed the incoming BDS batch, celebrating India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. A total of 158 participants, including faculty and students, attended the event, which aimed to provide a warm and engaging platform for first-year students to showcase their talents and connect with seniors in a lively atmosphere.
Event Highlights
The second-year BDS students set the tone for the day with a mesmerizing dance performance that captivated the audience. Following this, the first-year students took centre stage, performing in groups that represented different eras and cultural paradigms from across India. Each participant introduced themselves, showcasing their individual talents through singing, dancing, and drama, both solo and in groups.
A panel of eight judges evaluated the students on their performances, selecting five boys and five girls as finalists for the coveted titles of Mr. and Miss Fresher. The finalists were then asked to express their views on socially relevant topics, further assessed by the judges. Alongside the main titles, awards like Mr. /Miss Elegant and Mr./Miss Well Dressed were also presented to deserving participants.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks from the organizing committee, followed by refreshments for all attendees. Chrysalis 2024 successfully blended entertainment and meaningful interaction, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
