Rama Dental College Hosts Orientation Program for Incoming BDS Students

Rama Dental College, Mandhana, Kanpur, conducted an Orientation Program on November 16, 2024, at the University Auditorium to warmly welcome the new batch of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) students. A total of 158 participants, including faculty members and students, attended the event. The primary goal was to acquaint the students with the institution's offerings, academic structure, and future career opportunities in dentistry.
The program also provided an interactive platform for students to engage with faculty, gain insights into the BDS curriculum, and understand the scope of their dental specialties.

- Welcome and Introduction to the BDS Program
the event commenced with a ceremonial prayer and a lamp-lighting ceremony honouring the Late Dr. B.S. Khushwah, the Founding Chairman of Rama University. Dr. Asheesh Sawhny, Principal of Rama Dental College, welcomed the attendees and presented bouquets to the dignitaries.Dr. Sawhny highlighted the overarching scope of dentistry and the role of the BDS program in shaping the careers of aspiring dental professionals. The session detailed the curriculum, emphasizing academic priorities, clinical training, and research opportunities.
- Overview of College Policies and Facilities
Dr. Janardhana Amaranath B.J, Vice Chancellor of Rama University, provided a comprehensive overview of college policies, including attendance requirements, examination procedures, and anti-ragging measures. He assured students of a supportive and safe learning environment.Students were introduced to the college's state-of-the-art facilities, such as advanced clinical training centers, laboratories, a central library, and research hubs designed to facilitate an enriching academic experience.
