Rama Dental College Celebrates National Periodontist Day 2025 with Awareness Initiatives

Kanpur: The Department of Periodontology, Faculty of Dental Sciences at Rama University, celebrated National Periodontist Day 2025 on February 24th with a series of engaging and educational activities. The event commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Indian Society of Periodontology (ISP) and aimed to spread awareness about periodontal health and oral hygiene.
The celebrations included street plays (nukkad natak), a public awareness procession, free dental check-ups, and a poster competition for students. Informative pamphlets and dental kits were distributed to patients, and free oral prophylaxis was provided. The event was coordinated by Dr. Janardhana Amaranath B.J., along with faculty members and students, and concluded with an appreciation ceremony for participants.
