Physiotherapy Unit Hosts 2nd International Conference of Physiotherapy 2024

The Department of Physiotherapy organized a one-day 2nd International Conference of Physiotherapy 2024, themed “Expanding Horizons of Physiotherapy,” on 21st December 2024. The event was inaugurated by the Conference Chairperson, Dr. Brijendra Nigam, alongside distinguished experts and organizing members.
The conference attracted approximately 204 participants from within and outside the University, conducted in a hybrid mode. The event featured 8 expert lectures, with 5 experts present on campus and 3 joining virtually. Discussions revolved around advancements, validations, and growth opportunities in physiotherapy, highlighting its future prospects and demands.
Notably, the conference included 2 international speakers and 6 national speakers, each renowned in their respective fields. Dr. Nidhi Agarwal convened the conference, supported by an organizing committee comprising Dr. Nidhi Shukla, Dr. Apoorva Srivastava, Dr. Minhaj Tahir, and Dr. Gulwish Sadique.
Preceding the main event, 4 pre-conference workshops were held on 20th December 2024, engaging 170 participants. These workshops included study materials and certificates for attendees. Online presentation sessions on 17th and 18th December 2024 featured paper and poster presentations, logo-making competitions, and patent presentations.
On the concluding day, winners of various competitions were awarded on stage by the experts and judges. Additionally, 7 special awards were presented to eminent professionals nominated for their significant contributions to the field of physiotherapy.
The conference successfully provided a platform for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration and innovation in physiotherapy.
