New MBBS Session Begins at Rama Medical College, Kanpur

The new academic session of the MBBS program at Rama Medical College, Kanpur, commenced today with an orientation event titled “Deeksharambh” held at the college auditorium. The event witnessed the presence of 150 newly admitted students, accompanied by their parents and families.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by cultural performances by senior students from the 2022 and 2023 batches. These students creatively depicted their experiences of the MBBS course so far, adding a personal touch to the occasion.
The event was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Janardan Amarnath, Dean of Academics Dr. Hariom Sharan, and Medical College Dean Dr. Brijendra Nigam. Other notable attendees included Dr. Atul Singh, Dr. Manisha Nigam, Dr. Mirza Beg, Dr. H.S. Sodhi, Dr. Pawan Kulkarni, and Dr. Ruchika Agarwal, along with various department heads and faculty members.
The orientation program, organized in accordance with NMC guidelines, will continue for 15 days, after which the formal academic curriculum will begin. The cultural events were coordinated by Suyash Sachan and Ameya.
