Journalism and Mass Communication at Rama University Celebrates the Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication celebrated Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on 23rd January, 2025 (Thursday). The event began with a ceremonial garlanding of Netaji’s portrait, led by the Dean, Dr. Poonam.
The faculty members spoke about the great sacrifices and the battles fought by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose made for India’s freedom. The Dean encouraged them to take inspiration from his dedication and commitment, asking them to devote themselves to the important cause of education and nation’s interests, just as Netaji devoted himself to the country’s independence.
Following the Dean’s motivational speech, Mr. Avinash Kumar, a faculty member, shared insights about how Netaji overcame all odds to contribute to India’s struggle for independence. He also explained how Netaji’s principles continue to inspire fields like Journalism and Mass Communication. After that, Mr. Abhishek Patel, a faculty member, screened short movies about S.C. Bose to the students, reminiscing about his struggles and dedication to the nation.
Students actively took part in the event, sharing their thoughts, poems, poster and gratitude for Netaji S.C. Bose. Many spoke about his significant role in India’s freedom struggle and how it inspires them.
The event concluded with remarks from Mr. Naveen Tiwari, who appreciated Netaji’s contributions and linked his values to the department's mission. He expressed gratitude to Dean Dr. Poonam, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation.
The celebration fostered a sense of unity and appreciation among attendees, reinforcing their commitment to teaching with passion and dedication, much like Netaji’s tireless efforts for India’s independence. The event was graced by Dean Dr. Poonam, faculty members Mr. Naveen Tiwari, Mr. Avinash Kumar, and Mr. Abhishek Patel, along with the students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
