International Conference on “Emerging Technologies in Agriculture & Allied Sector for Sustainable Developments”

Prof. (Dr.) Aneeta Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences & Allied Industries, delivered the welcome address.
- Janardhana Amarnath B.J., Vice-Chancellor, Rama University, provided insights into the role of academia in fostering agricultural research and technology adoption.
- T. Damodaran, Director, CISH, Lucknow, as the Guest of Honor, delivered an inspiring speech on modern agricultural technologies and their impact on sustainable food production.
- Ramesh Chandra Srivastava, Former Vice-Chancellor, RPCAU, PUSA, Bihar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered a keynote address. His speech underscored the role of innovation in enhancing agricultural productivity. A special honor was bestowed upon Shri Om Prakash Ji, a progressive farmer from Shivrajpur, Kanpur, for his contributions to sustainable farming practices. Prof. (Dr.) Balvir Singh, President of the Society for Advancement in Agriculture and Allied Sciences (SAAAS), delivered the vote of thanks. The session featured a lead lecture by Dr. Shivendra Kumar Srivastava, Scientist, Senior Scale (Agricultural Economics) at NIAP, New Delhi, on the topic “Solar–Power based Micro-irrigation for Sustainable Transformation of Agriculture.” The first lead speaker, Dr. Mukesh Nitin, Principal Scientist at TUBITAK, Turkey, delivered a lecture on “The Role of Medicinal Plant-Based Compounds in Alzheimer’s Disease: Insights from Genomics and Drug Design Approaches.” His talk provided valuable insights into the role of plant-derived compounds in neurodegenerative diseases, highlighting advancements in genomics and drug development. The next presentation was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Sahadeva Singh, Dean, School of Agriculture, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, U.P., on “Emerging Technologies for Sustainable Agriculture.” His discussion focused on cutting-edge agricultural technologies and their applications in achieving sustainability. The first oral presentation was delivered by Mr. Abhishek Shukla, Senior Research Fellow, ICAR-NIAP, New Delhi, on the topic “Assessment and Ranking of Radiation-Based Reference Evapotranspiration Models Using the Compromise Programming Index for Humid Regions.” His research focused on optimizing evapotranspiration models to improve water management in agriculture.
