Induction Orientation Program-2024: Welcoming the Future Leaders

On September 9-10, 2024, Rama University’s Rama Auditorium in Kanpur buzzed with excitement as the Faculty of Nursing and Faculty of Paramedical Sciences hosted the Induction Program for the 2024-25 batch. The program, themed “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams,” was designed to provide a warm welcome to new students and ease their transition into university life.
The event, which ran from 10 AM to 12:30 PM, aimed to introduce M.Sc. Nursing, P.B.B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, ANM, and paramedical students to the institution’s culture, values, and resources. With the presence of esteemed dignitaries like Dr. Janardhana Amaranath B.J., Vice Chancellor of Rama University, Mr. Prabhat Ranjan, Registrar, and other distinguished faculty members, the ceremony was inaugurated through the traditional lamp-lighting ritual.
Significance of the Induction Program
The transition from high school to higher education is a crucial phase for students, filled with both anticipation and uncertainty. The Induction Program plays a pivotal role in easing this transition by providing comprehensive orientation to the campus, its services, and the academic and social environment. It fosters personal and academic growth, helping students build connections with peers and faculty, while also ensuring they are aware of essential support services that can enhance their university experience.
Highlights of the Event
The event kicked off with motivating addresses by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Brijendra Nigam, Principal of the Faculty of Paramedical Sciences, and Dr. Manish Nigam, HoD of Emergency Medicine. They welcomed students into the dynamic fields of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences and encouraged them to pursue excellence in their academic journey.
Departmental orientations followed, providing detailed insights into each program, helping students understand the academic structure and resources available to them. The day concluded with a vote of thanks and the singing of the National Anthem, leaving students energized and ready to embark on their academic journey.
