Fresher’s Party at Faculty of Nursing Sciences, Rama University

Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh – The Faculty of Nursing Sciences at Rama University hosted a vibrant Fresher’s Party on October 4, 2024, under the theme “Abhudaya: Nayi Rahein Naye Kadam” (New Paths, New Steps). The event, organized by the B.Sc. Nursing 3rd Semester, GNM 1st Year Old Batch, and ANM 1st Year Old Batch students, aimed to welcome the newcomers and help them feel at home in their new academic environment.
Warm Welcome and Cultural Showcase
Held in the auditorium in front of Rama Medical College, the event kicked off with the lighting of the lamp ceremony in honour of Goddess Sarasvati. The Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Jasmi Johnson, Principal and Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Sciences, graced the occasion along with other heads of departments. A spiritual start to the program was set with a Ganesh Vandana performed by both seniors and juniors.
The evening was hosted by the energetic team of Ms. Rati Sharma, Ms. Sanjana, Ms. Priyanka, and Ms. Taniya. The opening ceremony featured a welcome address by Ms. Anushka Singh, a B.Sc. Nursing 3rd Semester student, setting a joyous tone for the event.

The fresher's party was filled with cultural performances and fun activities:
- Cultural Performances: Students from different batches showcased their talents through dance, songs, and skits, which enthralled the audience and celebrated the spirit of creativity.
- Fun Activities: There were engaging activities like a "Ramp Walk" for the outgoing batch, where they flaunted their fashion, and tongue twisters, which added a lively, competitive atmosphere.
- Awards and Titles: New students participated in a Ramp Walk, and various titles were awarded. Ms. Kriti Pandey (B.Sc. Nursing), Ms. Anshika Dwivedi (GNM), and Ms. Shaifali (ANM) were honoured as the "Miss Fresher’s" of their respective categories.
- Refreshments and Mementos: The event also featured delicious snacks and a lunch spread, adding to the festive ambiance. As a gesture of goodwill, mementos were presented to the new students as keepsakes.
Closing Remarks and Felicitations
The celebration concluded with Prof. Dr. Jasmi Johnson felicitating the winners of the various contests and offering an inspirational address. She extended her heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all students for their future endeavours. The event came to a close with a photo session and a vote of thanks, leaving everyone with cherished memories of a delightful evening.
