Client counselling is an essential part of legal education, emphasizing the skills necessary for effective client communication and advisory. The competition aimed to train law students in active listening, probing questioning, empathy, and professionalism—skills crucial for building rapport, establishing trust, and managing client expectations. As law and client-centered counselling have evolved, this form of training empowers future legal professionals to offer practical, ethical advice while allowing clients to make informed decisions.
The event marked an important step by FJS in preparing its students for real-world legal practice, as participants gained hands-on experience in client-centered counseling—a technique that enables lawyers to guide clients toward the best outcomes while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
