The Diwali Dazzles - Dhanteras and Diwali Celebration 2024 event, organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries at Rama University, was a grand celebration of the spirit of Diwali. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff for an enchanting day of cultural performances and festive activities, emphasizing unity, joy, and the vibrant traditions of Diwali.
The celebration was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including the Honourable Founder and Chancellor of Rama Group, Dr. B.S. Kushwah, who provided his blessings, and Mrs. Rama Kushwah, President of Rama Educational Society and Rama Groups. Dr. Suraj B.S. Kushwah offered valuable guidance, supporting the university's growth. In attendance were Rama University’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. Janardhan Amarnath B.J., along with Dr. Prateek Singh, Dr. Pranav Singh, and a host of other respected leaders, deans, and faculty members across departments.
The day began with a Rangoli Competition, where participants crafted stunning designs that embodied the colours and symbolism of Diwali, infusing the venue with a festive atmosphere. This was followed by a Diwali Poojan in the Vice Chancellor’s building, where attendees gathered to offer prayers, seeking blessings for peace and prosperity.
As the celebrations continued in the University Auditorium, students took to the stage for a series of engaging cultural performances. The event opened with a Ramleela, a skit depicting the life of Lord Rama, and was followed by a Singing Competition where participants filled the hall with devotional songs. The final event, a Group Dance Competition, saw teams delivering energetic performances that encapsulated the joyous spirit of Diwali.
To recognize excellence, winners were awarded gift hampers and certificates. Highlights included:
- Rangoli and Musical Skit Competition Winner: Faculty of Nursing
- Group Dance Competition Winner: Team Paramedical
- Solo Singing Winner: Faculty of Ayurveda
- Photography Winner: Faculty of Paramedical Sciences
- Event of the Day Prize: Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Allied Industries
The Diwali Dazzles event concluded on a high note, leaving all participants and attendees with lasting memories and a deeper sense of community, epitomizing Diwali’s spirit of light, unity, and cultural vibrancy.
