Kanpur, 09 September 2024 — Rama University, Kanpur, hosted the Deeksharambh-The Orientation Program 2024, marking a significant beginning for the new batch of students. The event, held under the guidance of the university's esteemed faculty and administrative leaders, was designed to welcome the fresher’s into the academic fold and prepare them for their educational journey.
Ceremony Highlights and Key Addresses
The ceremony began with an invocation and the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. Dr. Prateek Singh, the Vice-Chancellor of Rama University, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the importance of education, discipline, and holistic development during the students' time at the university. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Janardan Amarnath B.J, extended his blessings and good wishes to the students.
Prof. (Dr.) Hariom Sharan, Dean of Academic & Planning, delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the diverse academic and co-curricular opportunities available at Rama University. He encouraged the students to actively engage in various activities and make the most of their time on campus.

A motivational talk by Mr. Amit Pandey, CEO of Orient Cables Pvt. Ltd., provided students with valuable insights into the corporate world. Mr. Shahnawaz, Regional Manager at TCS, spoke about the integration of industry and academia in the various programs offered by the university, providing students with a clear vision of the opportunities that lie ahead.
Prof. (Dr.) Vaishali Dhingra, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, appreciating the students and their parents for choosing Rama University as a stepping stone towards their dreams.
