Law students had a Critical Debate on the Challenges and Prospects of Implementing 'One Nation, One Election' in India. The Faculty of Juridical Sciences, Rama University, successfully organized a thought provoking and intellectually stimulating debate competition on the topic "One Nation, One Election" on 9th April, 2025. The competition began with a warm and inspiring welcome address by Dr. Praveen Mall, Dean, FJS followed by the introduction of the esteemed panel of judges including Dr. Inderjeet Kaur, Associate Professor, Dr. Kaneez Fatima, Assistant Professor, Mr. Rahul Singh, Assistant Professor, Mr. Maneesh Srivastava, Assistant Professor & Mr. Ashish Tripathi, Assistant Professor. Each participant was allotted a fixed time to present their views, and the judges assessed the speakers based on clarity, legal accumen, confidence, and rebuttal. After thorough evaluation and deliberation, the judges announced the winning team consisting of Ayush Kumar, Isha Thakur, and Labhansh Singh. The runner-up team included Varonica Chaturvedi, Shivani Kumari, and Jaya Tripathi. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Riddhi Tripathi, Academic Coordinator & Assistant Professor, FJS who acknowledged the contributions of all participants, organizers, and faculty members in making the event a resounding success. The debate not only provided a platform for students to delve into a pressing national issue but also nurtured their skills in public speaking and promoted a spirit of healthy competition.
