Celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi by Students of Faculty of Medical Sciences

The students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Rama University, Kanpur, celebrated the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and enthusiasm on 7th September 2024. The event took place in the university premises and was attended by students, faculty members, and staff.
The celebration commenced with the installation of a beautifully decorated idol of Lord Ganesha, symbolizing wisdom, prosperity, and the remover of obstacles. Students performed the traditional Ganesh Pooja, chanting prayers and offering flowers, sweets, and coconut to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings for academic success and well-being. The environment was filled with the sound of devotional hymns and mantras, creating a peaceful and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
The event also included a brief talk by faculty members on the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi in Indian culture, emphasizing the importance of devotion, selflessness, and unity. A Modak distribution ceremony followed, where students distributed the traditional sweet treat to all attendees, adding a festive touch to the celebration.
