Kanpur, 21 June 2024 – In an effort to assist students in making informed career, educational, and life decisions, a career counselling program was organized by Rama College of Nursing, Rama University, Kanpur, under the aegis of Mission Niramaya. This initiative aimed to orient students with the diverse opportunities in the nursing field.
Program Objectives and Audience
The program specifically targeted students in crucial stages of their academic journey: B.Sc. 4th year, GNM 3rd year, and ANM 2nd year. The event was held with prior approval from the principal in the Seminar Hall of Rama College of Nursing and commenced promptly at 3:00 PM.
Attendance and Initial Proceedings
Approximately 213 students attended the session, seated in their designated rows. The program began with an introduction to various courses in the nursing sector, highlighting the extensive opportunities available in these fields. Students were encouraged to select paths aligning with their personal interests and career aspirations.
Detailed Information and Interactive Session
Throughout the session, detailed information about all nursing programs and their future scope was provided. The counselling also covered eligibility criteria for admission into these courses, emphasizing their significance. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarifications about different programs, ensuring their queries were adequately addressed.
Conclusion and Acknowledgements
The session concluded at 4:00 PM with expressions of gratitude towards the Principal, Prof. Dr. Jasmi Manu, and other faculty members for their support in making the event a success. The career counselling under Mission Niramaya proved to be an enlightening experience for the students, guiding them towards informed career choices in the nursing profession.
