Awareness program about Child Trafficking and HIV AIDS organized

The department of Mass Communication and Journalism collaborated with NGO Amin Welfare Trust to spread awareness about Child Trafficking and HIV AIDS. On November 23rd 2019, the bachelors and masters students together presented a street play at Kanpur Central Railway Station on HIV AIDS and Child Trafficking. With the help of light-hearted satire and songs, they communicated how young children, infants, and women get trapped into the despicable business of human trafficking. The students also helped the people present in that area to co-operate with the NGO for getting free and confidential check-up for HIV & AIDS.
The students who were involved in the activities are as follows; Abhay Singh & Nishant Pal lead the entire show and beside them Ragini Singh, Neha Gupta, Divyanshi Sharma, Pooja Singh, Ankur Sachan, Satyam Singh, Aarti Singh, Shivam Shiv, Ayush Pandey, Javed Ansari, Ekantar Gupta, Himanshu Singh, Priyansh Jaiswal, Akansha, Jyoti Khochar, Harshita, Jaya, Shubhangi, Anushka, Manvi, Pooja, Ankur Sachan, Divyanshi, Kishan, Akansha, Satyam, and Md. Ameen Ansari actively participated in entertaining and educating the audiences with their spell-bounding performance.
Their mentors Dr. Deepak Kumar and Ms. Anamika Halder were excited about their students who were volunteering for this social cause and discussed possibilities of more such upcoming events from the department.
