INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND GREEN ICT

The IEEE International Workshop on Educational Technology and Green ICT will be held on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, RAMA University, Kanpur, India 09 March, 2016. It will provide researchers from different fields (Green ICT and education technology  ) with an opportunity to exchange information and new ideas, and to discuss new developments in the field of Green ICT and education technology  theory and application.

The goal of this workshop is to provide a holistic understanding of the green aspects of the network access segment as a whole. This will be achieved by bringing together experts from both academia and industry in the forefront of the energy efficient broadband access field, i.e., energy efficient cellular design, rechargeable energy harvesting wireless networks, energy efficient Passive Optical Network (PON) solutions, and green backhaul/fronthaul strategies specifically tailored for converged wired-wireless scenarios.

About the Workshop:

With the advent of modern computer and communication technology, many computer assisted educational tools have been developed and proliferated excessively in recent years to realize and implement the course curriculum effectively and efficiently and to strengthen current teaching and learning practices. E-teaching, E-Content, E-Exam and E-Learning are now becoming the new trends for technology driven education system. The current and next generation students are more likely employ the digital media in their education. Use of an E-learning platform is not only to give quality education to the students but also to make simple, transparent and straightforward assessment methodology. Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Rama University is organizing an International Workshop on Educational Technology and Green ICT on 9th March 2016. Professors, researchers and academician from International Universities gather at Rama University to discuss the current perspective of Educational Technology and Green ICT.*

Green ICT

Green ICT refers to an approach in reducing the energy and other resources consumed and the emissions and other waste produced across the ICT lifecycle – from manufacture, procurement and use of ICT in an organisation to its re-use and aims to improve environmental sustainability of organisations.

Educational Technology

We are dedicated to bringing educators together to share knowledge and concerns about educational uses, and the implication of technology in the classroom.  The goal of educational technology workshop is to identify ways that educational technology can be used to support instruction and student learning, not interfere with it. The benefits include learning how to utilize cutting edge technology to enhance instruction in the classroom
